This helped push the concentration of sulphur dioxide (SO2) in the air to five times normal levels on the Mediterranean side of the canal. My words; Uh Ohh, remember the sulphur emissions in Wuhan? wasn't there a volcano over there somewhere doing something? You might be thinking of Etna but I found this. Personally, I think this is a bit of a stretch and would blame Etna before La Soufriere but you decide..
