Jimmy Savile scandal: Abuse case 'at Exeter Hospital'

Jimmy Savile committed a sexual offence on NHS premises in Devon, a report detailing 50 years of allegations against the disk jockey says.

The Giving Victims a Voice report said Savile was reported to have offended at Exeter Hospital in 1970.

Exeter Hospital was included in a list of 13 hospitals and hospices "where Jimmy Savile is reported to have offended".

Further allegations against Savile have been made by a former resident of Colleton Lodge, a children’s home in Exeter which closed in 1986. The report reads ‘Person A alleged that late one evening, Jimmy Savile and another man visited Colleton Lodge. After several hours he became aware that they were both in an adjacent bedroom which was occupied by a younger boy. He heard ‘haunting screams’ and formed the impression that Savile and/or the other man had sexually abused/assaulted that boy’. Person A alleges that he reported the incident to Devon and Cornwall Constabulary but that his claims were ‘rubbished’ by police officers. Devon and Cornwall Constabulary traced two former police officers from the time but neither recalled speaking to anyone regarding any safeguarding concerns relating to Savile.

Really weird, as an ex-Exeter resident, just last week I was plotting spots on a map of Exeter in relation to casualties on this page [link to www.exetermemories.co.uk]

There's a few images of maps also on image search and there's a few places where sticks of bombs fell in a row but there will be one dot missing.

They need to look into whether UXB/IOD removed any ordnance in those areas, but they obviously didn't look at 2 bomb runs in the now university area, that was one dot that just exploded, there are others.

Living in Germany in the late 70s - 80s, this kind of thing was pretty common. 500-pound bombs unearthed during construction projects. If they were close enough, we could get out of a school day...a different kind of snow day.
