If the Earth is about to shake, there would be precursor signs.

The flashes and booms could be disturbances precluding a big quake.

Ugh.

I'm in far north Colorado... Very near Wyoming.

I wonder if this could be Yellowstone related.

I hate to rain on this doom fest, but there is an awful lot of Military activity. Could it be a sonic boom?

Yeah it could have been. It was really bad tonight though... It didn't really sound like that and I've heard them before.

Straight up sounded like a bomb or heavy collision.

I'm not scared of much, but this can get me paranoid. It was seemingly on my block.

It's always better to be alert than docile. You never know if somebody is up to no good next door or in your neighborhood.

This was a massive explosion sound, not a band.

Earthquakes...especially big ones...are always preceeded by loud booms.

Sometimes days ahead of the quake.

Sometimes hours.

Sometimes minutes.

What to watch for now is what they term "quake lights".

Light flashes that seem to come from everywhere and nowhere.

You get booms AND lights...GTFO OF THERE.

This is happening all the time. For months now. It started around Thanksgiving.

However, tonight was the biggest.

I've seen a few instances where there were actually bomb remnants found, but seeing as this was only about 3 hours ago, I haven't seen definitive cause.

Looks like ball lightning or transformers blowing lighting up the sky, but no reports of this.

No storms.

No power outages.

No wrecks.

No emergency response.

No registered tremors.

Could be lots of things.

I heard what sounded like a cannon shot right outside the house in NJ. Turned out there was a shallow earthquake a couple miles away. Cracked the foundation of the house.

Might also be mining or quarry activity.
I was having lunch once at a restaurant and damn near got blown out of my chair. They explained there was a concrete company nearby that would blast for more rock every so often.

Sonic boom of course.

I've been hearing a constant vibrating sound in my house and have no idea what it is. It sounds like my phone is ringing constantly on vibrate mode but the sound is all over the house. It has to be quiet to hear it.

So I thought maybe it was from outside and when i went out to listen during the night it was an eerie vibrating electromagnetic frequency sound. It keeps me up sometimes. I guess it's the Hum, I don't know it's just annoying.

I'm in San Diego and was hearing the same thing around 2pm today. I was in Encinitas area and the booms were from the North. Felt like they could have been 5 to 10 miles or so. Deep booms.

It could be shit going on in the underground tunnel systems. I live in Northern Colorado are as well and sometimes I hear things but it is from underground.

The evil empire has tunnel systems running all over our area.
