I know of someone who 'stole' someone else's home in town here. The guy had a work injury, applied for disability but everyone knows how long that takes to materialize, unemployment ran out, no money coming in to pay electric or heat bills or trailer lot rent, so he accepted a fraction of what his trailer was worth and moved in with relatives. Happens a lot. Not saying it's right, but it happens. |

I just make sure my taxes are paid and ignore the offers. They just seem to be from "investors" who probably went to a seminar and learned to look up owners of land online and make lowball offers. |

We had some come and give us an estimate of what they would pay and it was way below market value and they had no idea it was paid off. I think they take advantage of people in desperate situations. We thought selling it off market will be easier and their offer was way way way low. I know these people personally too, they are neighbors with a family member, we found out after they contacted us so we trusted them in our home. grass fed sardines |

They don't want you to put your home on the market, wait a month or @ least 2 weeks and take offers and award the strongest offer. They are low balling and taking advantage of Joe Six Pack. Most people are better off to hire a realtor but some realtors have "friends" or family buy low and then flip it. Interview several realtors and have them present a marketing presentation. |
