.....But given the governor’s hesitation to enact the statewide mandate in the first place, we’re not confident he’ll make the right decision and keep the mask order. This should be a no-brainer. Masks aren’t political symbols. They don’t undermine freedom. But they do save lives.

I coudlnt care less about orders. I'll keep mine on until I feel like stopping. I was buying mask before the mandate and I'll continue to wear then until I feel this Bio weapon has run it's course.

Honestly if this whole virus was a biological attack I wouldn’t be surprised if they would let another one out in states who lift the mandate. But that is just my conspiracy mind at work. I don’t trust anything they say. Distancing from people does work and I’m still keeping that up for awhile. Mask or no mask. And I don’t care to travel anywhere right now. The world is in a mess.

1. Mask mandate ends next week.
2. Within 3-4 weeks, 'skyrocketing' numbers of covid cases will be 'found' and trumpeted by the media 24/7.
3. Texas will go back to masking, and will be the example of why we need masks forever - not just masks but MORE lockdowns, etc.

That is not truth. If covid19 increases a judge will rule to bring back some restrictions but only and ONLY at county level.

I agree. Until they actually start enforcing the LAW that says businesses open to the public can't discriminate against the public without lawful reason, they will keep getting away with it.

They can enforce 'no shoes no shirt no service' because the decency LAW is in place. Yet there is no 'mask law' in my state. But businesses are still allowed to discriminate.

And no, 'muh private business' doesn't mean you can discriminate against the general public. If you serve the public, you have to bake a gay cake, remember? You have to bake that gay cake if you're open to the general public because the law says you can't discriminate based on class, gender, race, religion, or otherwise. Unless there is a mask 'law' then these businesses are committing a crime by forcing masks in their stores.

If the masks actually did work and there was actually a virus then why are masks not treated as biohazardous infectious waste containing infectious materials or potentially infectious substances?
