Has anyone here made or hired someone to make a mobile video game?

I have a good idea for one. Been looking at developers on Fiverr. The advanced packaged range from $800 to $1200 for a supposedly complete game ready to upload to play store in 28 days or less.

I feel that the game may have limits at that price and time frame.

I can also learn to make this game with an online course from UVM for about $2400.

I'd be able to protect myself from having my idea stolen before transfer of goods from developer. I could update and patch the game as needed. And learn and hone a new skill along the way.

I have zero experience with game development.
