My dog is 10 lbs. and I'd never put that thing so close to her face. Last summer I visited a pet store looking for a natural product to battle fleas. The clerk kept showing me those chemical collars. I posed that question to her and her facial expression was like she finally woke up/ snapped out of that mind control experiment. People need to wake up and use logic when it comes to all these big businesses that could care less about us. |

The dog hasn't had any issues with his collar. I tried the collars on account of hit-or-miss success using Advantage II drops as needed to eliminate outbreaks and figuring it might be similarly cost effective in the long-run and better for the dog to prevent the chance of any bugs making their way inside the house. For years, I used the original Advantage formulation and it worked every time to stop any level of infestation with one application on each animal in the house, but it is no longer on the market - probably because it worked too well and came with no need for regular re-application. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79536864 I've tried natural essential oil ingredient collars on my cats as well and they had similar symptoms of skin irritation and lethargy. It was really bad with what I would consider the most active and most observant of all my cats. She stopped eating and would barely trod around, stopped wandering outside, and gave no fucks for anything but gazing at nothing and sleeping. Took the natural ingredient collar off and she was back to herself the very next day. Logic and reason have their place, but it's not to trump experience. |
