Claims Seresto Flea/Tick Collar sickens/kills pets
I have 2 indoor cats. They had a flea problem. Nightmare.
Tried everything except arson to get rid of them. Bought 2 Seresto collars ($120.00). They worked.

Now this.

Anybody use other brands with success and pets weren't harmed?

My dog developed weird fatty 'lumps' under his skin after wearing the Seresto collar. Stopped using it. Had the yard and surrounding trees sprayed for ticks last season and that seemed to help a lot.

active ingredients are
imidacloprid and flumethrin
imidacloprid is a neonicotinoid
flumethrin is a pyrethroid insecticide.

both extremely toxic for humans and animals.

but hey at least they are vaccinates against fleas.

1,700 pet deaths. The EPA has issued no warning.

This should be pinned so that pet owners will know not to use this product.

To show how brainwashed people are these days, would you even consider putting one of those chemical rings around a baby's neck? My dog is 10 lbs. and I'd never put that thing so close to her face. Last summer I visited a pet store looking for a natural product to battle fleas. The clerk kept showing me those chemical collars. I posed that question to her and her facial expression was like she finally woke up/ snapped out of that mind control experiment. People need to wake up and use logic when it comes to all these big businesses that could care less about us.

Re: Claims Seresto Flea/Tick Collar sickens/kills pets
Very recently, I bought Seresto collars for two of my cats that are indoor/outdoor after learning my lil' tree's dog has developed a severe allergy to fleas.

Took them off after a bit over a week when both cats started breaking out around the neck and becoming lethargic. The dog hasn't had any issues with his collar.

I tried the collars on account of hit-or-miss success using Advantage II drops as needed to eliminate outbreaks and figuring it might be similarly cost effective in the long-run and better for the dog to prevent the chance of any bugs making their way inside the house.

For years, I used the original Advantage formulation and it worked every time to stop any level of infestation with one application on each animal in the house, but it is no longer on the market - probably because it worked too well and came with no need for regular re-application.

I've tried natural essential oil ingredient collars on my cats as well and they had similar symptoms of skin irritation and lethargy.

It was really bad with what I would consider the most active and most observant of all my cats. She stopped eating and would barely trod around, stopped wandering outside, and gave no fucks for anything but gazing at nothing and sleeping. Took the natural ingredient collar off and she was back to herself the very next day.

Logic and reason have their place, but it's not to trump experience.
