I wonder if she blew up because of those temporary landing legs kind of seal off the engine compartment when the Starship is sitting on the ground. If any gases or fire builds up in there, there's no way for it to get vented.

Wouldn't be surprised if the splodey deal was intentional for safety since it was leaning.

Is it close enough to observe wether or wether not a debris field is present?

Yeah the legs are far from the final design. They're very minimal and definitely didn't handle the landing unscathed. The vehicle bounced a little bit on touchdown and was leaning. Whether that has anything to do with the subsequent fire and explosion we'll see, but they know they're going to redesign the legs completely.

Yeah I wonder that as well. It might have also resulted in tank damage and leakage due to the legs failing to absorb enough energy. The explosion looks like it started in the tank in some of the angles from onlookers.

Here's a great shot of the post-landing explosion. You can see the asymmetrical expansion, it blows out to the left and flips the vehicle.

We are not going to Mars. No proven rocket design + iron oxide III and gamma rays both kill quickly.

We are being played with this cute little distraction to keep NASA pensions alive.

We're to believe we landed on the moon with 50 year old technology when they can't even land here...

It's not moon footage and it's not faked, it was filmed using my software. And this is why I turn off AC commenting. Lately there's just nothing of value in it. And occasionally I get doxxed hard.

That was awesome, it stuck the landing! They will get the blowing up part under control. My hope is to see humans land on Mars before I die. I watched the first moon landing in nursery school remember it like it happened yesterday.

Thanks for sharing this with us!

Well, I am certainly no rocket scientist, but my observations are thus: This cartoonish looking spaceship, looks like it belongs in a 1950's "Rocket to the Moon" movie with the black lagoon creature on board. In watching several of this "spaceship's" launchings, why does it seem terribly under powered? Like if you put a bit of cargo on it, it wouldn't be able to leave the pad? But as I said, no rocket scientist here, just wondering if any other commenters thought the same?
