I had a very tricky situation a short while ago that involved firearms. The after effects were wild. Had to be adrenochrome as it was a kill or be killed sort of thing that ramped up the internal blood chemistry, much more than a near miss auto incident. I had the shakes immediately afterwards and insomnia for days. The effects gradually wore off but could be summoned for months just by thinking stressful thoughts. It was sort of like LSD but more like Extacy. Like how speed is supposed to feel. Felt very powerful physically. After effects weren't too bad.

I can relate. I had a similar experience after I spun off the Whistler Mountain highway. It lasted for a couple of days and was extremely unpleasant.
