Soul-crushing, spirit-draining existential depression.

I feel like I’m watching my life in third person mode, absolutely nothing makes sense anymore. As if a scare tactic “pandemic” with mandatory vaccinations wasn’t bizarre enough, we have a President with clear dementia and the rest are all liars and thieves.

It’s beginning to affect my home life as well. Spouse and children seem different to me. Unbelievable stressors being surfaced while we’ve been quarantined in the house for a year straight. Prison comes to mind. We’ve begun looking at each other not with trust and bottomless love; but with suspicion and mistrust.

As far as work goes, I’ve luckily been employed throughout, working from my home office. But not seeing my direct reports in person has taken a toll. I suspect them all to be goofing off doing anything BUT working, yet I don’t care, and find myself doing the same. “What’s it all for anyway but to make a dozen shareholders incredibly wealthy? F it”

The dam is beginning to crack.
