highest mt in the lower 48 named after a Pike
I doubt a day goes by without seeing that name at least once

He lived in LR after the civil war. These idiots around here go to the Albert Pike Masonic Hall and name streets after him. His house can be toured. He lived well.

Let's not forget Zebulon Montgomery Pike, who explored much of the newly acquired Louisiana Territory circa 1805. Though not as famous today as Lewis and Clark, he has ten counties named after him as well as Pikes Peak.

I believe one of those counties is in Kentucky and was flooded recently, which would explain why his name is trending.
