Plasma is seen more often when the Earth has to balance out the energy charge with space during our period of a waning magnetosphere.

People really do not understand just how fucked we would be if ANY nuclear nation went grid down. The meltdowns around America would make most of the country radioactive. I know this because I used to live next to a nuclear reservation, Most of my family was employed and still is employed there. The problem is all civilizations end, and if a nuclear country goes tits up it's going to cause major environmental disasters. Not from the fucking bombs, but from the nuclear plants and sites that have tons and tons of radioactive waste in storage tanks. And these tanks degrade rapidly and need replaced often. And that's the bright side.

We should be demanding a ban on all nuclear weapons and plants not because nuclear war is so bad, but because eventually given enough time the structure that keeps nuclear facilities running will fail. And nuclear waste NEVER goes away. Every drop has to be specially stored and monitored, and the tanks constantly need replacing. So in reality humanity is fucked unless we come up with a way to get rid of all weapons and nuclear plants on earth.

How much longer we can sustain the decadent wealth of our current time cant be known. But growth like ours can't go on forever. Eventually we will collapse in on ourselves. And then there will be no one manning the nuclear sites.

There sure are a lot of happy birds though.

You will take every opportunity you can to turn anything into the end.
