Honestly the only thing I've done through this whole thing is just wear a mask. Fomite transfer is really not likely with COVID if you look at the pragmatic studies. So far it's worked, I haven't had the virus to my knowledge. And I'm now fully vaccinated, so the concern is less. Still gonna wear a mask until community spread abates. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80073122 I would be more scared of the long term effects of the vaccinations. What brand did you get? I got the Pfizer. To be quite honest I'm not worried about the potential effects of it at all, I breathe and eat worse crap every day in larger amounts with little ill effect. No guarantee that I or anyone else will make it ten years either, with the world the way it is. I'm not scared of anything, I just enjoy fucking and working with my hands. Suffocating to death over the course of a month is usually not very conducive to those activities. It's also kinda hard to watch for the family. |

No. I stopped that in early May 2020. By Memorial Day I went to the lake with a couple of hundred other people and went swimming. I've lived a normal life since, however I put the mask on when shopping because it's required in ever store in New York State. |

Well, are you? Quoting: Just curious 77287674 Some people would come home from the grocery store and take a shower right away too, and throw those infected clothes in the laundry asap Anyone still doing this? Not any more. I was doing all this shit to prepare for when the virus was prevalent in my town, but we have only had a limited of cases, so it is pointless. Also, scientists have now said that fomites are not a main vector for the spread. |

I did for probably the first 4-6 months last year. I still wash my hands a lot. I sometimes take a shower after significant public activity, but not every time. I no longer disinfect groceries or mail. |

I quickly realized last year that this is bullshit and any such effort was a waste of time, plus you really can't practically kill every microorganism in your area anyways lol we live in a giant peetree dish lol |

I never did any of that but I sure do miss March-June of 2020, when everyone was too scared to go out, and traffic was non-existent. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77889465 LOL. Covid-19 was a great traffic reducer. Not everything about it has been bad. Covid is practically accomplishing all the stated goals of the green new deal. |

Yes. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 73244420 We buy most everything curbside drive up every 2-3 weeks. Leave it in the back of the truck in the garage for 5 days if non-perishable. Anything perishable we wipe down with alcohol. Only go where it's absolutely necessary like trash dump, doctor, dentist, government offices, etc... If we go to those places, we go at the earliest time possible with the theory, that the place was closed over night, so it being the least risky. All meals are cooked here. Any Amazon or delivery packages get taken out of the boxes which are collected in the garage. Deliveries are wiped down or left to sit for 5 days. Cardboard and paper are collected in garage and burned in a metal 55 gallon drum in the backyard every Saturday. No visitors. While we understand COVID is not likely to kill us, we just don't want to have it either. We consider ourselves preppers. So we have food storage and the whole bit. It's amazing how many so called preppers have COVID. While many people think of COVID as singular there are more than 3,800 mutations. Check out nextstrain.org to see the mutations. Since there are always mutations you will be living like this fir the rest of your lives. Living in fear is not living. I don't live in fear. Exactly the opposite. Because I worked my ass off, and have made good decisions. I have plenty and live a very comfortable life. I get paid in the top 2% of Americans to give my advice and travel no farther than my home office. I am middle aged, have traveled the world. Debt free with plenty. Proud Christian. Far more giving of time and philanthropic efforts than most would be able. My life is far different than most on GLP. Many would aspire to live the life I already have lived but seemingly thinking it would be out of reach. It's funny how many would assume you do something illegal to have so much more. Also, many do little with what they have assuming they need something else to make the difference. I think of them as the "If I had, I could" people. I assure you most here on GLP are far more trapped in their own mind which is far more limiting their possibilities. I life with a ridiculous amount of freedom with no worries. |

I gotta admit I had a great hearty laugh at this part: "Cardboard and paper are collected in garage and burned in a metal 55 gallon drum in the backyard every Saturday" I'm not exactly neighborhood living, so we don't have a HOA to worry about. My neighbors would be considered distant for most. |

If you think you are germey, turn on the tap and coat the tap with germs. Wash hands for 20 or 30 seconds and then turn off tap which has all rhe germs still on! The world has gone mad! |
