Re: I’m out of the stock market.
The problem is always excessive amounts of credit. The fed pushes all interest rates down, to 'stimulate' the economy but just like a stimulant the ones that end up using it, do nothing productive.

They are gamblers, hedge funds, mortgage brokers, when interest rates are low people will take on a lot more risk because they think risk is low because the interest rates are so low.

But the interest rates are fake, manufactured by the central banks. When this credit flows to productivity, the productivity can service the loan. When the credit flows to speculation, stocks, etc the only thing that can service the loan is to sell the asset (hopefully for more than you paid) or for asset prices to rise and give out a dividend so you can pay a coupon.

So it unravels, it must. The longer they prolong a correction which will eliminate all that waste, the worse the correction has to be.

The market has tried to clear out many distortions built in for decades but each time the fed offers cheap easy credit so old debts can be rolled and a little extra to buy back some of your stock. Prices rise. IT's artificial.

Thanks for this reply.

That’s what I am seeing. So much of this is behind the scenes manipulation. Does it matter what a company’s fundamentals are anymore? The feds are pulling out all the stops to keep it going.

I really don’t see much difference between today’s stock market and gambling at a casino.

Having only a few shares of penny stocks is not "in" the stock market.

I have dabbled in technical analysis for a little while now. The stock market really fucks with your head.

It’s almost like it’s alive and out to get you.

Re: I’m out of the stock market.
In the last five years (since my husband’s death) I’ve had some wins and some losses but I have now sold out 80% of my holdings and left the stock market.

My stomach can’t take these wild swings. It’s just too much.

My hat is off to those who make money at the Wall Street Casino but this woman can’t take the stress.

I’m starting to think it’s a rigged game. I am over it. Especially now.

totally agree
sold 50% of mine late last year
and will sell the other when finance
and I make our move in a couple months.

rigged game to steal money from the 'little guys'
and pad the accounts of the ruling class.

That's what I have come to believe. Those of us counting every dollar and trying to make a few more bucks are not going to have any big wins in THIS market.

We're being played.

How can you say your being played? The market has almost double in a year, since the March lows of 2020. If you invested in growth you must of had a feeling it was overvalued?

It was always a rigged game. Invest now to only hold wealth, not caring about making it. That might be very important in the months to come.

Wait, so you are holding dollars?

You best roll some of that into gold... And silver if you wish.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76735869

Have to hold onto some dollars, but how much is enough or too much?
 Quoting: Agent 99

Dollars can be replenished with ease if one is not lazy.

Metals are selling FAST and there may very well be a time when they are VERY hard to obtain without HUGE premiums.

Re: I’m out of the stock market.
People who blame the market or call it “rigged” simply do not understand how it works... chances are they followed a crowd and bought into a hype stock on the promise of big returns that never seem to materialize... it’s my understanding that most people (I say most now because of all the new retailer investors who have entered the ring this past year) don’t have the patience nor the resources to be effective in the market so they do what only comes natural. Call it a rigged game and absolve themselves from their follies.

Stay away from hype stocks and find some good dividends and drip that shit. Take as much decision out of your hands as possible and just let the shit compound.

Re: I’m out of the stock market.
american green started accepting bitcoin and crypto as of march for payment. They only have 70 million share outstanding after their reverse split last year. I cant believe most these MJs are only a penny. The price of not being legal yet i guess.

Iv lost 7k in the last six years waiting for legalization. Had to sell everything last year causing the loss. It sucks.

Wall Street is a rich man's game.

If anything thinks it's for the little guy or middle, you're lying to yourself.

The whole thing is rigged.

ALL of it.

Silver CANNOT fall when bond yields are at their current rate, but magically they are.

The whole thing is smoke and mirrors.

Exactly!!!

Defying gravity.

So what is happening behind the scenes that would make this possible???

Is there a secret arms deal paying off our bonds?
Is the US govt making shady deals based on something else?
Is a foreign government taking cookies out of the cookie jar?
