Hard-boiled Burt: STICK, featuring the late, great Dar Robinson as the heavy. Dar was a stunt man by trade, and a great one, a high fall specialist. Burt threw him off the tallest building in Atlanta in SHARKY'S MACHINE, and gave him a feature part in STICK, where he sends him off a balcony.
Dar invented a 'decelerator', similar to a bungee cord, that allowed the jumper to be filmed from above without an airbag on the street below.
It's also featured in the opening of TO LIVE AND DIE IN LA.
