I'm definitely not rich but could afford to send the runner to a shop and pay 5x more for the same work. I find satisfaction in getting shit done and saving my money when possible, I work a standard 5 day work week hence the two days of free time. Poor shaming is such a bullshit line.

Actually I help my wife with the farm quite often, building animal pens and assisting her with the more strenuous aspects of farm life. Funny you mentions pigs pens, recently got into rescuing pigs along with our sizable goat operation and the couple handfuls of chickens. Life is good.

My wife has always wanted a friggin pinto, she's a bit of an old soul. I've been on the look out. Changed out a transfer case on an 88' suburban a while back, definitely utilized the chest press jack for that one.

I used to wrench on VDubs. CV joints are a bitch. CVs on air cooled VWs had a twelve point star cap head bolt that would strip out if you used a hex and then you are fucked. I eventually paid a premium for a twelve pointed bit and used both vise grips and a wrench to get the bolts off.

After removing four CVs and replacing them you deserve a half pint of Knob Creek.

I don’t know any soi boys or big women who can do that job. Definitely “Man Shit”.

Pulling the engine was easy, take off all the tin, generator, carb, exhaust, and the engine is only 147lbs. I could lift them out of the back of beetles. Well, back in the day. My worn out manly back won’t let me.

The cc engines definitely benefit in the weight aspect. I'm not a mechanic by profession, never have been but enjoy wrenching on my "projects," gives a sense of purpose. Making and spending money is good and all but physical achievement provides much more satisfaction in my opinion.

The Women in my family do all of my heavy mech work while I watch sipping iced tea and nibbling on freshly smoked brisket.
