When has it been ok to use a real life Fascist Event and use it for comedy? Intent on making American's look even less Intelligent?

I was watching SNL while my one was flipping thru the channels and SNL popped on and a scene that was using actors dressed in full Nazi attire as a entire military unit.

I have no idea of the context as I was appalled at the brief image I saw, I know they seemly are pushing the limits of comedy norm and I am who all for the freedom of speech.

The issue lies in the ignorance of the general populous, who interpret a anti-german bias as they only are able to interpret it as Germany = Naz, whether it was 50 years ago or 5 mins ago.
