Anyone know about Hot Springs? Beautiful little town. I want to swim in their famous warm freshwater pool.

The sight of the hills are incredible. The town is so picturesque. Is it worth it to get a place there?

Actually I do not care for it; have been through it many times.

It never snows there as it is at the bottom of the Black Hills.

It looks like a speed trap.

The Hills are beautiful; but Hot Springs is really outside of them.

It get really pretty once you get up to the middle; just north of Hill City and the Pactola Reservoir.

That is beautiful.

Hot Springs is no colder than NYC.

30 miles to the north; towards Rochford; that might be the coldest town in the lower 48; outside high towns in the Rockies.

Elevation about 5500'.

Areas near Rochford and up towards Lead & Deadwood average 150" to 180" of snow per year; Hot Springs is lucky if it gets 30".

Huge differences over short distances; I live here; I know.
