Fraggle Rock show? Another Sunday classic show for me.
WHy did it scare you? The giants (or normal sized people) scared me a bit when they captured the fraggle guys.

Nothing on TV ever scared me when I was a kid.REAL life on the other hand scared the crap out of me.

I'll tell you what scared the crap out of me as a little boy in the early seventies. We had NBC, CBS, ABC and PBS.

The thing is, back then, all of these stations would go off air at midnight(If I remember correctly). NBC would play the National Anthem and then go into a test pattern. The test pattern was a colorful peacock with a test tone before signing off.

I thought the peacock was a giant rooster and I was terrified of roosters because we had one across the street that would chase me every time he saw me outside. That rooster absolutely scared me shitless.

Looking back, I see how silly all of this was, or was it? What if that test pattern and tone were actually carrying some kind of subliminal mind control messaging? What if being so young, I was still spiritually clean enough to be disturbed by their mind control techniques?

Maybe not, all I know is that for some reason, that test pattern seemed dark and ominous to me.

These Night Time segments were only short but they were spooky and I didn't want to leave my bed to go to the toilet at 3.00am.

Lol... IDK what it was for me about these movies...

There was just something so deeply disturbing/upsetting, psychologically, to my 7/8 year old mind....

The whole look of Freddy Krueger himself and the things he did to those teens in the movies... just, well, that was it for me, lol....

Stuck deep into my mind for years later...

Strangely enough, I actually like Robert Englund as an Actor/Director... just not at the age I was at the time and as the Freddy Krueger character, lol...

Tales from the darkside. Not even the stories really but the opening. That creeped me the f out.

The BBC documentary THREADS , I was only 11 at the time but it put the shits up me - and most of the adult population too come to that

I think that's why I like movies to scare the hell out of me today, maybe it makes me feel young again or even feel anything strongly lol

I watched that a couple months back. It was raw and real, I liked it. I hope it never comes true though.

Lol yeah... some of those old horror movies do bring back some memories of me as a child... sneaking up out of bed, spying in on the TV downstairs from the top of our stairs, wide eyed and absolutely terrified at what I was seeing... lol... I couldn't help myself...

Was so curious, I scared myself senseless with the stuff...

Nowadays, horror movies are of the "norm", heh... nothing too creepy about the latest ones... just mostly blood and gore, which I'm not into....

Oh, I loved the Laurel and Hardy movies :-)... they were awesome...

Yes The Bird’s scared the hell out of me. I don’t know why? My older sister and I would run to our beds and jump yelling “THE BIRDS” she would tell me not to get up or the birds would eat my feet off!!! Lol I love Birds however crows freak me out.
