Biologically, your heart was always near the middle, but canted slightly to the left-hand side.

Your left lung is also slightly smaller than the right and your left kidney is slightly larger than the right, since the right hand side kidney competes with the liver for space.

Well for starters for me at least I won't speak on behalf of the op but my heart is most definitely on the left side behind the left lung.. and your silly point about the kidneys I say silly cause my kidneys are not left and right smack bang joined in the middle like your weird and alien model but rather I have one under the rib cage to the right side above my abdomen and the other all the way on the left side also my liver is situated right below my lower abdomin in the left side of my body.. this is the model of the proper world where I come from and I need out of this twisted mirror cause I feel like an alien here.. iv been here for about close to a year and a half now and I need out.. merely for the fact that I don't belong here.. read my mirror realm thread it's on the first page last I saw..

When they started doing heart transplants, people were quite shocked that the heart is closer to the middle of your chest then people assume it is.

Its probably now shown as in the middle, as its closer to reality then being like people assumed it was, ie out in the left side of your chest.
