Quoting: Zoom for cheap! 77036716 Did you ever drive one? 22k best thing going in new cars Forte, civic, or optima You tell me...... Never again. My 2014 Honda civic blew its rubber band transmission at 160,000km (100,000 miles) literally barely out of warranty. It cost $8000 for a new transmission + labor. Fuckin car was only 18,000!! Never again. |

I have maintained it by the book and only problem I have had is the radio died a few years ago and I replaced it with same radio off EBay. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78287156 This has been a fantastic car and I hope to drive it to 200K or so. Nothing special, my friends jeep wrangler has more miles. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 80114190 United States 03/07/2021 09:32 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I bought one of those donut cushions at autozone to make sitting in the seat better, it helps some. Also use a travel neck pillow that makes me look crazy but that helps too. Even so, the driver height is so low, turning is hard because you can’t see anything coming ever, every bush or sign completely obstructs you’re view. Anyone driving or parked next to you will completely block your view in traffic as well. The poor visibility is so bad that it makes me regret ever buying a small car and I’ll never do that again. I can see why women love SUV’s. Other minor issues that bother me about it: the trunk space is extremely low. You can’t fit shit in their. The dash lights and touch screen radio are pretty and all, you can even change the colors to be pretty blue or purple or pink, but as soon as you turn your headlights on, all of the lights go into energy saver mode and dim. There is no way to manually turn them to bright, either. Also, with my 2015 year and probably other recent years, there is NO WAY to turn the headlights off manually if the car is running. I guess it’s just a safety feature or something but it actually is a huge inconvenience if you’re parked somewhere and want to keep the car running but turn the headlights off. Like in Ohio we have these drive-in burger restaurants that are “lights on for service” which signals to the worker to run to your car to take the order. You turn them off after they take your order unless you need something. Sometimes I come home late and don’t want to wake anyone in the house with bright headlights or I just want to be discreet but the headlights won’t turn off so everyone sees you all the time no matter what. |

I went to college in that car. Yada yada yada the backseat is the most worn out part and I'm still driving it today Oh the clutch gave at 160k miles. Lots of city driving will do that Reliable af but slow coming off first gear. Great mileage |

When I looked at them last at the dealer they seemed to have gotten too cluttered. The original Civics were kinda spacious for being small. The had smaller steering wheels, less junk around the steering column, and a smaller center console. |

I bought another one 2005, drove it 150,000 miles and gave it to my daughter. I bought my wife a 2015 Cvic. It has 35,000 miles on it now. Each of them got at least 40 miles per gallon. I bought a Honda Accord for me. I gave my other son a Hyundai Accent (it is also a good car). I have had Chevy's, Dodges, Mazdas, Toyotas AMC's Oldsmobiles, Pontiac's, Buick's and Fords. The only American car that ever lasted over 100,000 miles is my old diesel Ford Pickup (1995 it has 238,000 miles on it now. Thats enough miles to go to the moon lol). Yes I like Civics Hibbs4 |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 75870268 Just when they are trimming down a bit....boom...$1400 for more food. Thats fukd up people. Most people can’t walk to where they need to go because many people live rural. And many cities are too dangerous to walk in now. Or to even use their public transportation. Better to eat less and walk in a secure location. Or get something in your house. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 79543875 United States 03/07/2021 12:12 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I got a 2015 civic brand new, still driving it. Just paid it off. Nothing has ever gone wrong with it that was the car’s fault. A tree fell on it once. Pretty reliable and good gas mileage. But, I have to say, I regret buying it because I’m considered tall for a female (5’8) and the seat height sits very very low and the cabin space is very poor for anyone 5’8 or taller. It’s cramped and the seats themselves are hard & painful and they hurt after about 30 minutes of driving. The car was meant for small Japanese people, around 5’0-5’5. You can feel that fact when you sit in it. So, if you don’t plan to drive it a lot it’s great. Road trips will ruin your posture and body, I’m in my 30’s and healthy but it takes days to recover from the stiffness aches and knots, especially in the neck, back, butt, the feet too from not being able to stretch out.
