I live in Southwestern Tier, NY State. Everyone here pretty much minds their own business. People are helpful, lots of Amish, everyone votes conservative (80-90%), hardly any crime.

Too bad certain politicians give the state a not so picture perfect representation, but the people are decent and hard working.
