Nurse, Doc Need Help regarding Motility Issues Please don't laugh
For almost 2 months I have an issue that MAY be a result of lyme disease - basically I am experiencing what seems to be Palsy of my gastrointestinal system

I have heavy constipation and awful pain in my pelvic area and flank

I saw a GI doctor and he didn't seem concerned with an actual blockage - Told me to take 3 Colaces to go- he did not want to administer colonoscopy as I had one 1.5 years ago

In all honesty because I don't talk to my family about this - I am either on my way to expiring(yes)

or I have an actual tumour/blockage somewhere in my rectum/colon - I don't think it is this because albeit every few days last was the longest about 6 days - I am still passing stool - the ends of it are indeed thin and I needed to press to get it out -

or I have CID - possibly caused by a tick bite I had once(I tested positive for band 39)

this old woman had it

Here's the thing - I'm mid thirties and male and DON'T KNOW
I come on GLP like many of you do for supernatural reasons
Lately I am dreaming about and meeting with people that have passed on a lot. When it's time it's time - and I don't want to overthink this - but No one wants to die prematurely - you know?
WHAT TO DO ?
Do I goto the hospital? I feel like there's sh** in my ass/rectum all the time now

I also quit drinking 2 months ago - but I don't think that was a cause because I was having this issue prior to quitting

Intake more fiber, more water, and get physical exercise. Not just walking around, but WORK. Or a physical sport. You have to move your body to be healthy and for your various processes of elimination to work. Guarantee if you go for a run you are going to need to poop later.

I don't know if you are interested in suggestions, but I'll provide a little feedback, and you can decide.

If I were experiencing similar, I would first clean up my diet and introduce vitamin and mineral supplements in liquid form, quality sourced.

I'd also take additional source of mag citrate (mag oxide if you are constipated) as it brings fluid to the bowel.

I'd then locate a different GP, preferably a functional med MD, who will first, listen to and team with you concerning your health, and, second, who will order a colonoscopy, a comprehensive stool sample along with appropriate CBC, chemistry and thyroid panel. Nutrient panel would be beneficial, too. These tests are great baselines as well as diagnostic tools.

Find a health partner in your GP/MD, don't accept less, and go from there.

Best to you!

Re: Nurse, Doc Need Help regarding Motility Issues Please don't laugh
I have tumors that, when inflamed, cause constriction...

One around my esophagus which, when inflamed, make swallowing food feel like swallowing ice cubes...

The others are lower in the intestines...causing blockage unless my stool is less formed ..

The key is to be less inflamed...there are some great books out there...takes time to read...

Quick fix...
Inflamation...all foods with any, I mean ANY, additives...especially natural flavor, white distilled vinegar, any 'gums', esters, preservatives...calcium chloride found in most tomato product...
simple whole foods
No bread, biscuits, crackers, cookies...

Get a craving for sweet
Go to keva juice and get a smoothie...or make one...

Watch all dairy for additives...

Then add these suppliments...

Magnesium citrate...by its self...take in the evenings...I use 'calm' brand powder...says start with a quarter teaspoon..I started with an eighth teaspoon and had a cleansing reaction(diahhrea)

Find a good buffered vitamin c...solaray makes a good time release one...you know how much to take based on 'bowel tolerance's...learn what this is...

I had tumors the whole right side of my body...head to toe...

Today I have almost zero issue with them unless I accidentally get some of the chemicals and hormones listed above...

Fast food that is fairly clean...

Del taco bean burritos...beans, cheese, green sauce...nothing else...avoid their beef at all costs

KFC chicken strips
No sides except slaw...

Jack in the box cressandwich...with egg only...no cheese, no meat.

Cook, crockpot, bbq...make your own sauces...

A good ketchup is Portland organic...or make your own...ketchup can be the base for alot of sauces...

NO salad dressings unless you make them...olive oil, lemon and garlic...mmm good dressing

NO CANOLA OIL OR SOY PRODUCTS Of ANY KIND...(soy sauce, tofu, edame, read the lable...soy protein...avoid at all cost)

avocado oil, coconut oil, safflower oil...

Butter...only real butter

The body needs fat to obsorb vit D, vit A, etc...

A general bread with least amount of junk is sourdough cus it doesn't need dough conditioners...it's alive.
Sprouted nut breads can be added but only a slice or two a day

All the veggie you can muster...
Raw or cooked...

DO NOT EAT OUT OF PACKAGES...

if you must...

READ ALL INGREDIENTS...

Water, salt, some sugar is okay...

Green giant canned and frozen are usually pretty clean...

You want to be pain free and flowing...

Give this a try...

Add a little note pad
Carry in your pocket
Write what you eat each day
On top of next days page, write how you felt/feel from previous day's food...

Track your aches and pains, bm's, skin condition, cravings...

Short and sweet

Soon you will see a pattern and will know what works for you.

Blessings
I thank God I'm alive today
Death has come for me several times in my life, but God has given me the grace to survive...

Sorry for the wall of text..

Clarify...
DO use avocado oil, coconut oil, safflower oil

Also, watch your 'spices'...

Never use season salts
Garlic salts, etc...

Never use prepared rubs or marinades...

Make your own

Never use bullion, especially dry...

Soup stock has caused me problems...so I make my own and freeze in jars...then I know what's in them...

This isn't about calories...

It is about healing
About soothing
About learning what the cravings are about and how to answer them in a productive way.

I would do two things if it were me.

I'd start taking - and keep taking - a high quality probiotic that has a prebiotic in it.

I'd find a digestive supplement that has ox bile in it to aid in digesting fats.

If food "sat on my stomach" I'd also take 10,000 mgs of sublingual B-12 before meals, making sure it is the methylcobalamin form of B-12 in case I had gastroparesis (paralysis of the stomach.)

Good luck!

No surgery...
Stariaform hystoma(sic) that migrated to the paraneal cavity...including around my spine...

The quickest relief I've found is weekly fasting...

I also use the "Master Cleanse" a couple times a year...

Stanley Burroughs...

Get his book...it's more a booklet. Yellow cover...quick read...

Do not trust or read any knock off's until after you read the originater of this fast...I have done the long fast with EXTREMELY good results...

For those of us with these kinds of issues, days of fasting are a relief...

Nothing to cause greif...

It is a day free from harm...

A reset for the body...

The key to keeping a fast(I have found) is to get up and move...

Any time you feel hunger coming on, go for a walk, run the vacuum, wash the car(maybe as little as 10 minutes exertion will make the hunger go away)..it triggers your liver to tap into your energy reserves...

So...
No surgery
No drugs
No pain

Yes, I do coffee...but...
How it's processed and where it's grown...

Trust me...they are not all alike...

If you can, start with Peet's Major Dickensen

I can drink this all day with zero issues...

If you need sugar, use a coconut sugar...

Avoid turbino! Massive issues with commercial white and brown sugar...

If you have a trader joes, their organic brown sugar is the bomb!

Don't drink bottle teas, sodas, coffee, etc...at least for 10 days...

You'll survive...

Keep that food diary

Re: Nurse, Doc Need Help regarding Motility Issues Please don't laugh

I'd try taking FIBER in a lot of water first thing every morning. Psyllium husk would be a good one.

And I'd stop eating anything with flour (wheat) in it.

Intake more fiber, more water, and get physical exercise. Not just walking around, but WORK. Or a physical sport. You have to move your body to be healthy and for your various processes of elimination to work. Guarantee if you go for a run you are going to need to poop later.

I will check back
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77686780

God Bless you for sharing this - I thought it was the end but I guess people can make due and live through these things
I will change my diet
question - did you ever need a surgical resection for any of those tumours?
what do you do for pain?
do you drink coffee?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79713760

That is where your freedom lies
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77686780

OK will do - thank you!
I don't take any meds - only half an aspirin sometimes
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79713760

Bottled coffee that is...

I 'bottle' my own...
Brew it strong
Let it cool
Add real cream(no more flavored creamer-ever)
Put in clean jar
Add sugar
Seal
Shake
Refrigerate
The best, reaction free coffee ever!

I also make my own tea,
My own lemonade, my own juice using the juicer, my own smoothies, my own ice cream...

It's easy and fun...

I have spots around the kitchen where appliances 'live'...they stay there 24/7...cus I use them daily or every other day...

The blender
The juicer
The crockpot
The bread machine
The hot air fryer

Because I HAVE to cook, my kitchen is more like a commercial kitchen...it's not to look nice for the guests...

Cus
You can't have guests if you're pushing up daisys

Dr. Lonsdale is the top thiamine expert in the country, likely the world.

I began taking allithiamine, 100-200 mg a day, and it FIXED my lifelong motility issues. I am in my 60s. I had tried everything over the years. This worked in a week.

What is likely wrong with you is thiamine deficiency and high-calorie malnutrition, which Last nsdale says is rampant in the US.

Food grade diatomaceous earth to kill parasites along your intestinal tract and you might need to poop in a different way, essentially like a street chitter because it's actually the best position to pass stools

Like I shared...I had a tumor removed when I was 31...near the collar bone...it was a lump, the dermatologist took it out saying it was an encapsulated something or ruther...until he looked at it under the microscope...then he sent it in as a biopsy cus he didn't like the looks of it...

2 more surgeries later, he said he thought he had clear margins...

Fast forward to 52 years old...

Covered in tumors cus it spread to my neck, inner ear, tonsils on same side...then weird pelvic pain started, leg pain, hip swelling, pain radiating to knee.

As I shared, intestinal constriction, esophageal construction, swelling in the back at the neck line and on the rib cage...at it's worst, it had ahold of the spine about kidney height with tenicles in the liver......the pelvic region was the worst for pain...

Stariaform hystoma is supposed to be benign...

Was told locally aggressive

Rare cases it migrates...

Every where I have it there are documented cases of it, but not many...

I am now 58...

Occasionally, when the constriction gets out of hand, I use docalex...best results...combined with large amount of vitamin c to hit bowel tolerance...because stool needs softening and liquidating to get past strictures...at least until diet and fasting can shrink them...which can take a day or two...beleive me, I've been in some pretty intense pain from this...

And I share with you...

These things can't hurt you...

No additives
Whole foods
Healthy fats
Make your own
Occasional fasting

Can't hurt

Many are deficient in magnesium from depleted farming soil.

I'd also add psyllium husk for fiber, it gels everything up to the point I rarely even need toilet paper anymore, it's like solid jello comes out now, no streaks.

While everyone else was storing up on TP, I was storing up on psyillium husk.

One day the rest of humanity will realize what I have, and evolve past wiping their butt with paper, or worry about spraying it with water. Fix the issue from the inside and you don't have to worry about cleaning up a constant disgusting mess.

This is a great answer...IF...

you DONT have stricture..

If you do have chronic constatation, hemeroids, things like that...great answer!

Stricture won't be solved.

He's pooping but it's very thin...like it's squeaking by something...

Pencil poops are pretty clear indicator of constriction...

Not motility issues...

But thiamine can help with future intestinal health
