Something very odd is going on in residential home sales. Sold my house (outside of Detroit) for $10K over asking last summer. House was nothing special - kept up, decent, but I would never have offered $10K over asking - AND the offer was made 32 hours after listing.

My son also sold his house. Buyer was going FHA. FHA ALWAYS does their own inspections, especially for the bank/finance company. Not this time - WAIVED for no apparent reason.

Alot of people are banking that stimulus money and unemployment $. I feel like the rug is going to be pulled soon for some.
