Gravity powered, self contained system, no electricity.
Very cool.

Doesn't this violate, er....something.

Could you use it to power a water wheel to power lights.

It could, but I'm guessing you'd need a huge amount of water for a small turbine, and the water would have to be regularly topped off due to evaporation.

Because then they'd show everyone this really works and anyone can do it at home on a smaller scale. The entire energy industry scam would be revealed for what it is.

Got me thinking about using a liquid that's slower to evaporate than water in a closed system. Oil?

Re: Infinite water loop! MINDBOGGLING!
According to this, the primary driver in the system is not gravity, but photons, solar energy.

hmm

What about hydroelectric plants that extract energy from the falling water in rivers? Don't they extract energy from gravity for free?

No. The water in the river is no different from the ball that you have to haul up the hill. The water got its energy not from gravity but from some external agent that placed it high up in the mountains against gravity, so it could fall down the river bed.

The external agent in this case is sunlight. Sunlight warms the ocean, causing the water to evaporate and float into the sky. The energy contained in the photons of sunlight is converted to the potential energy of the water molecules that are lifted high in the sky. These water molecules then rain down to the ground, form rivers, and flow back down to the ocean, converting their potential energy to kinetic energy, heat, and (in a hydroeletric plant) electricity.

Ultimately, therefore, hydroelectric plants extract solar energy from water.

In my world, water won't run uphill and out of a watercan spout.

Not out of one can and not out of four cans.

The earth is not flat.

Anti woman is not an American value.

Hitler was a bad person.

Racism is not a conservative value.

Religion is not something to argue about.
We aren't cut out to be socialists. We are the people who couldn't be constrained by Europe. We are the malcontents, idealists, speculators, dreamers, inventors, debtors and criminals who would not be chained. We don't play well with others, we are brash, outlandish and cunning. let us do what we do best; let us be Americans.

I dunno.
Maybe the water is moving fast enough that they can never equalize.

Re: Infinite water loop! MINDBOGGLING!
It's bullshit, looks clever but bullshit nonetheless.

There is a pump in both of those cans. The water is unable to go higher than the main reservoir, ie the can. The spout is higher than the can. If this was real every city on earth would have two giant watering cans powering them.
