Move to high ground. Trust your gut instincts. Keep your wits about you.

Don't believe anything you read or watch online.

Keep your operating costs low and develop a skill set that will still be valuable in tough times.

God has saved me countless times when I was in my worst moments. I feel ashamed at times because i only prayed when I needed something.

You all must have had wonderful lives.

My childhood was the darkest of times, and there have been plenty of long stretches of dark times since.

The kind of times that make you greet death with joy.

These particular times are pretty laid back and easygoing.

I knew others suffering in those dark times, but they are dead now - some by suicide.

Never, ever say "It can't get worse!"; you'll be proven wrong, every time.

Yep. My sister said something along those lines on a Thursday when we were out together. We were in the car, and she was very upset.

The next day is the day I ended up having to report my parents missing. She actually blamed herself which I said was silly, but still. NEVER test it.

Try to balance between living every day as if it were your last and preparedness <<<-----not easy, I know.
