With Pa. ‘ghost gun’ rule on hold, Wolf calls for ban

A Pennsylvania policy less than a month old pertaining to the background requirements needed in the sale of so-called ghost guns remains on ice following a state judge’s recent ruling.

Judge Kevin Brobson of the Commonwealth Court issued a preliminary injunction Jan. 31 to state police on selling partially-manufactured gun frames after reviewing a case filed by four petitioners: Firearms Policy Coalition, Landmark Firearms, Polymer80 and U.S. Rifle.

Democratic Gov. Tom Wolf, meanwhile, called for an outright ban on ghost guns in his budget proposal unveiled this past week, along with a host of other gun-control measures.

“I know there is no law that can eliminate every act of gun violence,” Wolf said during his budget address. “But the steps I’m proposing are supported by the evidence and supported by the vast majority of Pennsylvanians. We can pass them tomorrow.”

Any guns "turned in" or "bought back" will have been stolen or passed down (inherited)... Not from the individuals who bought them and/or can use them.

They could TRY to require licenses to own, but good luck with compliance there too, since the VAST MAJORITY of Americans really do believe in the constitution.
(those you see on TV hating the constitution are paid actors/anchors/political figures, etc)

Just like how many Americans are forced to wear face masks in public and private, or have the extreme threat of being shot and killed by the cops for not wearing one, beeches? The U.S. Constitution was never amended for such extreme tyranny, yet that is our modern day medical plight.

I am sincerely wondering if the various American militias out there are simply waiting for our Federal and/or State Governments to start outlawing guns or simply start doing sudden and violent gun confiscations before committing to an armed and open rebellion against either or both.

According to Politico, the Biden administration is weighing several anti-gun moves it is planning on making to appease Bloomberg-backed anti-gun groups. One measure the Biden administration is planning on making is to make buyers of unfinished frames and unfinished receivers undergo a background check. Experts question whether or not the President of the power to enact such a rule.

The letter questions Biden’s Domestic Policy Advisor, Susan Rice, and Senior Advisor Cedric Richmond’s decision to hold an anti-gun summit with rabid anti-firearms leaders from groups like Moms Demand Action, Gifford’s, Everytown for Gun Safety, and Brady.

According to the letter, the organizers refused to invite pro-gun groups like GOA.
The letter points out that by excluding pro-gun groups from the discussions, the administration blocked input from millions of American gun owners. The letter states that these Americans are law-abiding citizens that would be the target of any change.

Here in Texas I think you need a permit (Government permission slip) own any guns. You have to register every firearm you own... at least through any legal methods anyways. I would much rather purchase my firearms through private means where that is nonsense and does not happen unless if you want the Government to know what you own at all times.

It is perfectly LEGAL to build your own firearm, millions of people do. They just don’t like it that people can build Ar-15’s with no paperwork for the government. But I can go to a persons home and buy an AR-15 rifle as a private sale with NO PAPERWORK legally. So what’s the fucking difference? The person has to still finish the critical 20% to make it work

I don't think that's correct. As far as I know, any 100% Receiver, and or compete firearm sale, must be handled through an FFL.

ATF considers the Receiver, as the firearm, and is subject to an FFL transfer/background check at time of sale.

Here in Wisconsin, any 100% Receiver/or complete firearm CAN NOT be sold by a private owner. $10,000 fine/10 years in the clink if caught.

Parts kits from Apex, and %80 Receiver sales are now being banned in many states... 2nd amendment days are numbered.

In MOST STATES person to person in state private sales still don't require a background check or ffl.

Hell, my state is actually loosening gun laws not tightening them, and it's looking like it will go full on second amendment sanctuary state by the end of the year.

It went constitutional carry in January too.

Parts kits legality has went away in a couple more states out east and on the west coast but that's sorta counter balanced by western states like missouri and several others that effectively have a don't ask Don't Tell don't get caught violating the interstate commerce clause for even nfa items.
