That has been hard for me to get used to. I had a flock of 16 silkies that kept me well supplied in eggs. They had the run of the back yard and I catered to them. No pesticides or anything. We moved and I couldn't take them with me. :(((( I have had to use regular eggs. They are merely Yellow. My girls yolks were orange. I hope in the next year or two I can have some hens at least.

I use jasmine for fried rice, 2 tblsp oil, one-half cup water, one cup jasmine rice, cover and simmer on low stirring every few minutes until done in about twenty five to thirty minutes.

Rice will be very firm, not crunchy, and in no way mushy.

It may then be used in the fryer with whatever veggies, meats and sauces you like. I use oyster sauce, onions, yellow corn, green peppers, cashews, then top it with General Tso's chicken in a hot chili pepper sauce with a tablespoon of sesame seeds added.

After spending most of yesterday sleeping I am up much earlier today.

'Got anything planned? I'm thinking of doing laundry, dishes, cleaning the stove, connecting a PC to the den TV, changing a hard drive and loading a new OS on a different PC, and figuring out how to connect a second and third monitor to my laptop.

Those have been my plans for weeks anyway, I hope to do more than dishes and laundry today.

Depending on the weather, we’re planing on cleaning the front and backyard... and of course the baby chicks will join us, my little boy will babysit them.

Yesterday we took them out for a few minutes... they loved it but they came to me all the time, prolly they were looking for a warm spot, it was very sunny yesterday tho.

I had to take the day off yesterday, I got a new bike and had to ride it.

I'm testing all the Chinese take outs surrounding me. Actually my kids are doing the egg rolls taste test, we will determine the best restaurant by the egg rolls.

BTW, don't ever try Panda Express in a pinch. I had to last week because I needed a drive thru since I was wearing my house shoes and it was absolutely horrible. All I got was eggrolls and they didn't have any sauce, they were all out of the packets. I was like packets???? THEN one of the fortune cookies was missing a fortune and my kids were like fuck this shit. PLus the eggrolls were tiny and shitty. 2 for the price of a regular size one at a good place, they were just half the size.

Yeah that's good determination too, how they make the string beans. Thats what my dad likes the string beans and beef.

I noticed they all have the same stuff on the menu's except one place offers steamed rice and veggies, probably the safest for us watching our internal health.

2 ways in crock pot or stove top.

On stove top saute onions then sear some beef with bone preferably. Add fresh green beans, tomatoes or I use 2 cans of seasoned diced tomatoes, peppers heat if you like or just green bell. I never use colored peppers because the cooking destroys the antioxidants, save those for eating raw. You can use fresh garlic or garlic powder. I just add paprika sweet because I don't like heat but the Hungarian has heat in it usually, black pepper and vegeta that'a an all purpose vegetable bullion and salty so no salt needed.

In the crock pot you can't sear the onions or meat so I just put that all in and leave over night so it's ready for breakfast on low for 12 hours.

Unless you want to do that in a separate pan first.

They are fresh beans so I cooked on low in crock pot for 12 hours and they did not get mushy. Stove top around 6 hours on simmer.

I make other stews, this is just the way my grandmother cooked green beans. Other stews get potatoes to thick up the broth.

I use Jasmine mostly too, Basmati will be slightly crunchier because the ratio is 1:1 with rice and water.

I remember when egg rolls used to be Huge..(2 of them would be a meal)..All of the ones i see lately are about the size of half a hot dog. If I had to judge Chinese takeout by the egg rolls ...
