My kids come home and ask how to do math and I teach them how, and they say, that's way easier than they were teaching in class...exactly. I tell them keep doing it the "easy" way, I'll back them up all the way, if they're told they're wrong for it. May God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't. General George S. Patton |

(March 17, 2021) – On Monday, the Tennessee House gave final approval to a bill that would prohibit the use of textbooks and instructional materials created to align with Common Core standards. Quoting: Google_It Sen. Jack Johnson (R-Franklin) introduced Senate Bill 769 (SB769) on Feb. 9. The legislation would prohibit the state textbook and instructional materials quality commission, the state board of education, and public schools in Tennessee from recommending, approving, or using textbooks and instructional materials and supplemental instructional materials created to align with the common core state standards. In effect, this would chop the legs out from under federal Common Core standards. On March 15, the House substituted SB769 for the House companion, HB782 sponsored by Rep. William Lamberth (R-Portland), and then passed it by a 64-19 vote. The Senate previously passed the measure 30-3. It now goes to Gov. Bill Lee’s desk for his consideration. The natives, or natural-born citizens, are those born in the country, of parents who are citizens. As the society cannot exist and perpetuate itself otherwise than by the children of the citizens, those children naturally follow the condition of their fathers, and succeed to all their rights.' 1758 Emerich de Vattel Oh' What the Hell, do I look like I want to die in some nursing home one day...
