Funny you mention a gnarly flu in late 2019, because I had something pretty nasty then too. Wuflu kicked off in China a couple of months later. The illness I had was unlike any prior flu and it was nasty. I'm not entirely convinced it wasn't the Wuflu, because a lot of the symptoms match up with what was later named COVID.
