I have never heard of a ring around the moon a Dog Moon. I sure have heard it would rain or snow if you see it.

It just as some old almanac saying, and they got them from back long ago. If you go out during the summer, look for the moss on the trunk of the tree, bring a compass to get the right direction. If the moss is on the south or eastern side, you are in for a cold winter, if on the north or west side you are going to have a hot or very warm summer. This has been correct for a long time, the moss moves this way, it knows how to stay alive.

And because the temperature drops between 3-6 degrees fahrenheit for every 1000 feet you go up the temperature at high altitudes is always below freezing.

When the moon has a halo like that, if you look closely, you can see the texture of the firmament behind it with the naked eye.

We need to get All IS ONE IS All over here. She knows everything! She has direct connection to the people up there.

I got some pics of that moon too, with my phone. It was way more spectacular than the photo represents. We watched it until it moved North and fragmented.. so cool! :)

Yeah, it was awesome! My boys loved and called their friends to go outside and see it. I did call my other son and he said his moon didn’t have that halo... I think just in my little town we could see it.
