They wouldn't give on the amps price, so I grabbed some no-name Japanese guitar and said 'throw this in for free and its a deal' - they said ok The amp is long gone, but I've still got that Takamine GX200 electric guitar. |

I bought a gently used 1989 Hohner JJ Professional Bass. Right now I'm teaching myself via YouTube and downloading tabs online. I haven't purchased an amp yet, but I did buy a Vox headphone amp so not to disturb my better half too much. Music is great therapy. Phil Murphy is a Marxist asshole. |

The Birth of Loud: Leo Fender, Les Paul, and the Guitar-Pioneering Rivalry That Shaped Rock 'n' Roll Ian Port “A hot-rod joy ride through mid-20th-century American history” (The New York Times Book Review), this one-of-a-kind narrative masterfully recreates the rivalry between the two men who innovated the electric guitar’s amplified sound—Leo Fender and Les Paul—and their intense competition to convince rock stars like the Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, and Eric Clapton to play the instruments they built. User ID: 80099427 United States 03/24/2021 09:24 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I'm an avid guitar player, some 30 years playing, Rock and roll of course. My first guitar was a Japanese Del Ray. Forget the brand. But many years later I still look at cool guitars. Always wanted a Carvin, 1/16th of an inch action with no buzzing frets, was their ad. And they lived up to it. Quoting: JoeNobHead My favorite of theirs was the DC-150 double cutaway. M22 humbuckers, and neck through the guitar precision. Jumbo wide frets, for smooth action play. But this one. If you love guitars, check this shit out. Beyond bizarre. You no longer have the move the string sideways, you can just apply more pressure LOL. I bought a beautiful Carvin five string bass when I returned from the desert in 2005. Man, was that thing awesome. It played like butter. Ebony fingerboard, neck through body, string through body, a highly figured quilted maple top with an electric blue finish. When I took a road trip to the left coast to visit family some asshole stole the Carvin, my amp and even my damn house plants! lol I miss that bass. |

We tend to think it will last forever, but music changes. The mandolin, fiddle and dulcimer were common instruments not that long ago. |
