News Nuclear/EMP Watch! Weather Woes, Solar Storms, Chernobyl meltdown? Radiation? Summer sizzle? 5 SIREN ALERT
This thread was originally started back when individual volcanoes popping off was news. They all became active about the same time. I tried to cover each one individually.

A volcano is about to erupt in the Caribbean...
I'm just going to allow that thought to marinate for a bit.

Not once in my life until this day had I even considered that volcanos exist in the Caribbean.
What a weird time we live in.

Caribbean volcano?

Check.

Next up: Eruption in Delaware or Kentucky. Then, tidal wave hits Ohio.

Obviously volcanoes are what likely formed those islands to begin with but I hear ya. Also not Fuji going now as well in Japan. Writing is on the wall folks. You all know what time it is.

I don't think so. I've always gotten excited about volcanos and do not recall so many going off in such a spectacular way. However we have more monitoring and better communication on this than ever before so we hear about it more. Also, lava is HOT! Who doesn't get excited by that?

Both islands have dormant / potentially active volcanos.

This is actually rather concerning:

Volcano Watch — Dual volcanic tragedies in the Caribbean led to founding of HVO

A pair of devastating eruptions in the Caribbean 99 years ago this week shook the world and, as fate would have it, led indirectly to the founding of the Hawaiian Volcano Observatory.

Both eruptions occurred in the Lesser Antilles island arc. The Soufriere volcano, on the British island of St. Vincent, erupted powerfully on May 7, 1902, killing 2,000 inhabitants. The very next day and 150 km (100 miles) farther north, Mont Pelee exploded on the French island of Martinique, destroying the city of St. Pierre and sending 28,000 people to their deaths. The timing of the two eruptions was coincidental. The deaths were preventable by today's standards.

The eruption of Soufriere was preceded by about a year of felt earthquakes. Explosions began on May 6 from within a crater lake. At about noon on May 7, the lake overflowed with hot, muddy water followed by explosions of lava.

The eruption rapidly developed a high column of ash, and pyroclastic flows-among the most dangerous of all volcanic events-rushed down valleys at hurricane velocity. The pyroclastic flows were hot enough to kill, but people in sheltered locales survived.

At Mont Pelee the situation was different and even more tragic. The volcano had been erupting at a low level for several weeks and had erupted mildly in 1851. Still, residents remained unconvinced of its potential power.

Diamond read a paper awhile back on his show that said increased cosmic rays cause magma to become more buoyant.

Cosmic ray increase caused by waning magnetosphere.

Waning magnetosphere caused by magnetic excursion/pole shift.

No, not normal. They are increasing because the earths core is heating up due to our position in the photon belt (falsely called "global warming").

I was wondering about the volcano because they had a 5.8 earthquake last night and a 4.8 this morning. The epicenters for both quakes were in the water but not far from the island.

Yes, during a grand solar minimum as we are having. Entirely cyclical and regular.

The waning magnetosphere can't block the cosmic rays as much, so more penetrate through to the Earth. This stimulates volcanoes and earthquakes. Also causes more violent weather and greater cloud formation.

Mount Pelée's seismic activity on the rise: 55 earthquakes recorded in one week
Seismicity of volcanic origin has increased over the past week. Between March 19 and March 26, the Volcanological and Seismological Observatory of Martinique recorded at least 55 volcanotectonic earthquakes of magnitude less than or equal to 1.0, located at shallow depth inside the volcanic edifice, between 1.7 km below sea level and 1.0 km above sea level.

The superficial volcano-tectonic seismicity, characterized by high frequency signals, is associated with micro-fracturing in the volcanic edifice. During the period of this report, the OVSM again recorded a volcanic tremor-type signal on March 24, 2021. These signals containing low frequencies are associated with the migration of fluids in the volcanic edifice. During phases of volcanic reactivation, it is common for periods of higher seismic activity to alternate with phases of weaker seismicity.
