Quote: "Callers to 911 reported a strong chemical odor in neighborhoods all over Staten Island on Wednesday morning, but the source of the stink remains a mystery. Several calls for an odor of gas started around 8 a.m. and ended around 9:30, according to a spokesman for the FDNY/EMS. Some of the calls were for the vicinity of Corona Avenue in Oakwood, but no levels of gas were detected, the spokesman said."
