Many of us are feeling that overwhelming sense of dread. Something is about to go wrong.

There’s so many things I want to say, but my best advice is situational awareness. The crazy is being unleashed. Don’t try and reason with it. Stay out of its way. Distance between you and it. Don’t attract visual attention. Keep your transactions as low key as possible. Don’t be flashing bling.

If USA takes a hit, people are going to be looking for anything they think might have the answer. Everyone of us who has prepared will have to make some very difficult decisions but you always knew these days would come. Drug addicts are the worse, even prescription addicts. Be prepared to turn people away for your survival.

Wow. Just finished saying this (worded different, meant the same) to storm2come! Just feel like the light coming down the tunnel is really big & close! Have no idea what to watch for, or at least it feels that way. War? Financial collapse? Incoming from space? Major sun disruption? Polar shift? So many choices... Been prepping for catastrophe for 20+ years, but I'm getting too old for this.

WOW! DO I ever hear YOU, Granny! Like you I too am a prepper of over 20 years [began when I heard about Y2K here on GLP in late '99!] and by the time the "event" happens, for me it'll be almost anti-climactic [no pun intended!] since getting this far has about worn me out as well.

But even so, we're still ahead of the pack in one big aspect: as older folks [I'm 72] we already have our minds wrapped around the inevitable and have a tendency to appreciate each day of life as if it were our last. Because we know it COULD be.

And that's going to be the hard part for many others who blithely think they will somehow escape unscathed.

Somebody has to take responsibility and make sure they make it over the bumps. It’s not that they don’t care, they just have a few too many blank spots…Wisdom from their elders is what they need..

God love ‘em. Somebody’s got to make sure humanity has a fighting chance.

Lordy, that's actually scary!!! Luckily my kids & grandkids know how to use one. Did have to explain a stove-top coffee pot (percolator) to my grandson, though. Only ever used a Keurig before. Ouch. Might need to consider a weekend training session for using non-match/lighter fire starter, and other prep supplies. And things like gardening, sewing, etc. all need to be shared. Right now, they're just not interested.
