...and it's Monday morning .. and there's no problem...banks are being bailed out.....the dollar is coming back up. What just happened?

As I understand things; the dollar is kept alive by demand. Demand. When people say I want the dollar, for x. Demand is the 'I want the dollar' part. Petrodollar kept the dollar alive because of the demand to pay for oil worldwide in dollars.

China and Russia say "keep your dollar, we don't want it." Big chunk of the demand is gone. Dollar drops.

Bank says "we are going down bigly. Help!!! We have mismanaged everything and it's a mess. WE NEED DOLLARS AND A LOT." Demand for dollar is coming back.

How sweet the sound...mundane Monday is back.....
