It seems to be coming down to choosing our battles.

And for me, 'the battle of the mask' is not a hill I choose to die on. Not in light of the fact there are far worse battles on the horizon.

IMO the mask is a pointless battle to even fight over. If they require me to wear a mask to buy food, or enter an office to do business, so be it, I'll wear the damn thing, get my business done, get out, and rip the damn mask off, go about my day, no harm done.

It's 'the battle of the vaccine' that IS the hill I choose to die on. I will fight that battle to the end. Because the vaccine IS harm being done to me.

For whatever reason, DMVs nationwide have been going full-out non-stop gestapo in making things difficult for citizens to renew our licenses. Dare be late in renewing one, and that persuon will face needing a nightmare papertrail of evidence to 'prove' who they are, from certified birth certificates, any name changes, marriage/divorce records.. notarized and faxed to them, etc. And just how does one go about getting such documents notarized when they no longer have picture ID? Better have another picture ID, S.S. card, bank who will vouch for you, etc.

So... in the the greater scheme of things... looking back at what you are likely about to face once you get INTO the DMV... eh.. wearing a mask probably would have been the least of your problems.
