leg of lamb cooking help?! need for tomorrow!
Ok, so i am cooking leg of lamb tomorrow. I always have bone in. They were to deliver my lamb on thursday, didn't come. Didn't come today. Sorry out of stock. Never mind that I ordered and paid a week ago...grrr

Anyhow, all I could find are 2lb boneless leg of lambs, which I bought 3 of.

From what I see, it's about 16 minutes per lb, but they are separate roasts, and will lay atop a bed of potatoes.

Do I cook the entire thing for 32 minutes, or would it be 32 minutes times 3 .. an hour and a half

Thanks for any help!

Just sear it all around and run it through a warm room on the way to the table.
I did it. I did it on purpose. And I'll do it again.

Get a meat thermometer

Rare:120 to 125 degrees F – center is bright red, pinkish toward the exterior portion

Medium Rare:130 to 135 degrees F – center is very pink, slightly brown toward the exterior portion

Medium:140 to 145 degrees F – center is light pink, outer portion is brown

Medium Well:150 to 155 degrees F – not pink

Well Done:160 degrees F and above – meat is uniformly brown throughout

Oh and potatoes will take longer so I would cook separately.

yes, have a meat thermometer, ty. But i need to plan how long as dinner needs to be at a certain time.

just not sure about the separate roasts. If it was all one piece, it would be an hour and a half. Because its 3 different pieces, it should not take that long, but unsure as I've never done this b4

Don’t bother. Even if you prepare it perfectly it will still taste like leg of lamb
