I'm a Christian, but my wife is a Buddhist. She tends to internalize and not talk about current events. Her outlook of the state of the world is guided on feeling, which often bites her in the butt. Overall, she isn't pleased with what is going on in our country and knows that if the way things continue like they are, we'll be going down a path of no return. I think that adopting a more spiritual outlook in our lives is a good thing, whether you're a Christian or anything else. To be plain, no, she doesn't believe in end time prophesy. But she can definitely see that the system is broken.

Well, a lot of Buddhists believe in reincarnation. My wife doesn't. But, as I just asked her now, she does believe in some sort of continuation after death. She believes in the golden rule and to be the best person you can. She also believes in ghosts, which I'm on the fence with. I think that plays a roll in her journey. As far as an end game, she trusts the rule of karma and that what she does in this life will be a progenitor of sorts for what is next.

Well going by feelings is more of a female thing than a Buddhist thing; although unfortunately many western Buddhists are becoming ‘going-by-feelings’ types....

However Alexander Berzin’s website (StudyBuddhism dot net, com, or org, I think; not sure) has an interesting article or two about it, related to Hitler’s interest in Tibet and so forth.

The above video is not necessarily correct when it equates the North Pole with Shambhala, actually. There are many hidden lands and Buddhafields described in Buddhadharma, and I think it would be a mistake to say that they’re all referring to the North Pole....

That's a hard one. LOL, one of my brother's is agnostic but he's married to a Mormon. A devout one at that as she was recently voted in by the congregation as an elder. He just goes along with it and her because he's madly in love and he likes the people in general. That would clash with me though. She still sends me Mormon stuff hoping I'll convert. Not a chance of that happening. I grew up in a restrictive cult and get itchy with that kind of control in your life by others.
Honestly, there are times I've gotten upset with my wife because of beliefs, but not anymore. At some point we have to be reasonable and recognize good people for who they are and not be judgemental.

Yes, that is love. Especially when there's nothing we can do about it. I miss having a male spiritual rolemodel in my marriage because he isn't devout but believes.
