30 million Social Security recipients still waiting for their stimulus check | |

SS Increase last year was only 1.3% and , yeah, we need it. Minimum wage just went to $15 and SS people need at least a 25% increase just to stay even. Trump was all about getting stuff for black people, but he didn't help the retired SS people at all. So, Thanks for nothing Mr Trump. All the emails from you and other republicans everyday asking for money are just a waste of your time. I haven't got it. I think my increase was $10. and does not cover all my rent.. is short and none of my utilities etc. I did get a $34 increase in EBT and my health insurance just started giving me and others a $30 food card each month which cannot be spent in pop etc.. must be real food.. but you can sugar for baking.... I have to use all the $30 each month... loss it or use it thing. |

Never received any stimulus payment for the first two rounds. The IRS wants me to file a tax form and I am not required to do so. Not going to start now. Now that the SSA has sent SSD payment info for recipients to the IRS, maybe they will cut me a check. I won't hold my breath and really don't care one way or another. The money would be nice, but it isn't necessary. My financial situation is fine without having an extra stimulus. Also, as I said before, this money has a dirty feel to it. It feels like our Government is attempting to buy complacency of the people. It's really a big slap in the face to those who are woke to this. |

I qualify for food benefits on EBT if I wish. $30.00 a month is all I would get also and it isn't worth my time and effort to jump through the paperwork hoops. I hate hassling with the paperwork just for 30.00 a month in food benefits. I do however take advantage of the medicare payback funding, which equals @ additional 1400.00 a year in my account payed back by the state from what SSD takes out for medicare expenditure. |

This may never be straightened out. even if you get an auto-generated notice to fill out paperwork and mail it to JAMAICA CENTER near NYC don't do it call your local office and listen to them. they cannot override the automatic stuff, like automatic notices to widows or widowers, but they know: send your documents or paperwork to Jamaica Center, it will never surface. it took a work order and months to retrieve my original documents from there. the money owed - still waiting. I can assure you that this is 100% accurate. All offices are months behind but never ever ever send your documents to any office other than your local. They can forward it to the Program Service Centers. This notion that SSA has to do the stimulus bidding us a bit unfair. The appropriated money is to deliver SSA services not to do other non-critical Agency missions. SSA did not get any additional money to assist with the stimulus. What I heard was that the ss administration was dragging their feet because they had not received extra money for paying workers to pull the files for the recipients. That got straightened out on Thurs. Fri the money was released and is supposed to go into our accounts on Wed or shortly after. Next Friday is my normal day to receive this month anyway, so maybe they will deposit it all at once. I got this from LALATE on youtube. He usually has good info.
