Trust me Russia is winning the minds of the southern and eastern Ukrainians. The Georgians favor them over the west as well. Putin isn’t stupid, he has never taken a mis calculated step, thus far.
The usurpers in Kiev wane every day with mandates and restrictions meanwhile Putin responds with aide and support.
Not a fan of Putin, but can appreciate statesmanship at its best.

NATO lol the US has no leader domestically or internationally, Germany can’t decide if they should lockdown or import migrants, France is on the edge of another protest, turkey’s about to start their own war.

Supplies to all are a month behind due to the canal and China high fives and laughed their ass off.

NATO is not coming, because the US is about to tear itself apart over the misjudgment of one cop and a shady election. I hate to say it for all the world, now is the time to NOT expect any US response.

I’m not sure about that they are full on globalization and Russia is the only remotely western nation resisting. Putin is still attempting to preserve the national, cultural, and religious identity of his people.

This push is presented as an attempt to liberate Ukraine and help them do the same, right or wrong. Russia is fighting for nationalism and that suddenly became a curse word in the late 2000s, why.

Well we're part of NATO and we just docked a ship of containers full of tons of military equipment in Odessa.

We will support somewhat, tech and weapons only. The current US can’t even fully support a president, do you think they can motivate a post Covid population to sacrifice for a foreign war?

Ask yourself how long Russia locked down... how about China...? This is just the beginning by the way. Once the US commits a ceremonial force China moves on Taiwan while Biden attempts stairs for the next time, and the joint chiefs announce gender neutral pronouns for everyone.

The Ukrainian fight will be identical to the Crimean. Russia will advance and take Poltava to north Moldavia in one month.

Take bets on it. There will be little NATO resistance and even fewer locals with an second thought.

Moldova would like nothing more than tobe fully Russian again. Those poor people!

That's all that needs to be said wrt germany and where they may be forced to side even if they don't want to.

The US and UK actively threatening the nordstream 2 project and beneficiary nations with sanctions if they don't cease work on it immediately kinda changes the game.

Especially for Germany, and to an extent France.

There's pretty ample evidence that the french grid is starting to stagger under the load of german and their own power demands.

Thus puts both france and germany in a position where they NEED the nordstream 2 natural gas supply to alleviate very real grid concerns brought about by stupid power grid decisions of the Germans etc.

This is a finely laid trap in so many ways really.

How do the Germans and the French tell their people that rolling blackouts and more expensive energy will be the new normal because the US said so?

Realistically they'd be stupid to go along with this, and I don't think they're stupid enough to slit their own throats like that

I know they may roll straight to Romania. All I know is the west is the weakest it’s been in 60 years. People thought the west sat on their hands in the beginning of WW2 they haven’t seen anything yet.

Damn forgot about that wrinkle. With the canal crisis they are probably wishing they had excess gas, especially with the polar vortex that’s hitting in a week. Makes you wonder who is actually in control...

Like I said earlier I hate to say it: Putin has yet to make one un calculated or unbeneficial move. The west tries its best to laugh at Russia and Putin but when I really look, I’m like damn. Ya they got sanctioned but won the loyalty of another million square miles.

The Ukies will not like the outcome of this event.

Especially since they are a marks on generals maps, playing a game they never got invited to.
