Never eat it myself though Quoting: WW3NuclearApocalypse Personally, I love it. Eat it right out of the jar, just a spoonful as a snack. Creamy, chunky, with chocolate, doesn't matter. OP's mistake was expecting dessert, it's more hearty than that. If you like the taste of peanuts it's a bit sweeter than that but doesn't have to be, depending on the style/intent. |

Heard americans rave about it all the time and how they miss it when living in europe. Quoting: SomeoneSpecific It's NOT AT ALL what I had in mind this whole time. I expected it to be creamy, buttery and SWEET. Sort of like snickers paste with less chocolate. It's just ground peanuts in some oil. With some awkward pieces of salt mixed in while there's also a mild sugar taste. It's GROSS. Americans please explain, how is this essential food exactly? Hey ! Don't be racist. George Washington Carver invented that. Peanut butter cookies aren't that bad. I don't even do Reeses Pieces. George Washington Carver did not invent Peanut Butter, and it is not bad, if you got bad peanut butter it must have been old, nor is there any oil mixed into it, that the natural peanut oil. You can make it at home, just get good peanut roast them, then put them into a blender until they are smooth peanut butter or leave some less crushed and smooth that is crunchy peanut butter. You can make peanut butter fudge and mix it with chocolate. The reasons peanut butter was invent I think someone in Canada invented it, was for people who had no teeth and older people for the protein that peanut butter contains. As for George Washington Carver invention which are numerous, the peanut oil was his, plus some type of hard plastic that could hold up being hit by a sludge hammer. Ford put this plastic on some of his cars, he wanted Carver to work for him, Carver was not willing to work for him, he continued to work for himself, he has a lot of patient under his name. He also was a botanist, a painter, he made his own mixture of paint using his knowledge, he also invented the way to use soybeans and the oil from those beans. To say for sure, peanut butter is not for everyone, it is healthy butter. The oil was used in the first diesel car engine. It is a versatile oil, also use in body rubs during the outbreak of polio. It goes into the skin better than others at the time, it seems to help the patients, even FDR, George W. Carver was the one helping him with this, not many people knew at the time he was a crippled man, it was because he had polio. Well don't tell a black person that GWC didn't invent PB. They're really proud of GWC. Of course, they cut GWC's nuts off before he matured, so he had more time to think about something besides sex. Who knows, they might all be geniuses if they were castrated. I don't have the time or the crayons to explain this to you. Slake Blake |

It’s healthier without the sugar and I think tastes much better. I never liked peanut butter until I discovered the natural kind. Same here. User ID: 71828855 United States 04/02/2021 09:25 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Back in the mid-1960s, during the Batman craze, there was a Batman peanut butter on the market. My family got a jar of it, and I was amazed that there was a thick layer of oil, maybe several inches of it--perhaps a third or fourth of the jar, sitting on top of the layer of ground peanuts on the bottom. My mother said all peanut butter used to be that way. One would have to stir the oil into the ground peanuts before using the peanut butter. Apparently the companies that produce peanut butter started using partially hydrogenated oils (like Crisco) some time in the 1950s or 1960s that stay mixed with the peanuts. That Batman peanut butter was actually pretty good, and probably healthier to eat than the peanut butter with the partially hydrogenated stuff in it. But it wasn't as attractive as the modern peanut butter, and wasn't on the market for very long. Obvious Alias |

My favorite brand right now is Peter Pan creamy non-gmo, because it tastes like the peanut butter I grew up with. (Jif) I try to avoid gmos now though. If I'm in a hurry, I just eat it by the spoonful. If I want something sweet, I mix it with honey. There's so many ways to eat peanut butter. Mostly desserts though. A couple peanut butter desserts that I make are potato candy & buckeyes. I remember going on a trip to England once when I was teenager in the '80s. I went looking for peanut butter, but couldn't find it. I love Jesus |
