They don't seem like a 'weed' to me, never have.

They seem to indicate a healthy yard, good soil, or something good, imo.

I leave them in, and at one point they spread to such a beautiful yellow patch, it felt criminal to get rid of them.

A bunch of them just started growing in the front yard, and my brother came over the other day and wanted to yank them.

I told him to hold the f off....I like them, my cat likes them, my dog did when she was able to walk properly cry

They add a hint of diversity to your land that seems to be needed.

Also Californnia poppies. Why you'd pull those still boggles my mind.

Happy Easter!

They're nick named 'pis-en-lit' in France. Around here, they're called Pissybeds. Because they were used in medicinal cures for the bladder or something. They are a diuretic.

I've never wanted to eat them, but I do know the birds love eating them. In fact, the squirrels dig them up and eat the stems. I've seen them do it many times...I don't mind if the squirrels dig them up.

They bring more birds to the yard, squirrels, they're blonde, they're awesome!

In fact, I have a pond I finally finished -- small thing, 3.5 ft deep, turned out super cool, all rocky and natural looking with a little waterfall -- anyway, a duck couple just started showing up...yay! And they frikkin love eating the dandelions.

So the ducks like them too!

more win!

The greens are good for digestion. And you can make wine from the flowers. But, if you are trying to grow grass they are pretty annoying.

I was just going to post that. Dandelion is a good survival food. People in the depression ate "poke salad".

If SHTF, and you can't find anything to eat, stuff like that just might help buy a little time... food wise.

THEY ARE IN THE SUNFLOWER FAMILY. ALL PARTS OF THIS BEAUTIFUL FLOWERING PLANT CAN BE EATEN.

THEY ARE VERY HEALTHY FOR US TO EAT. HOWEVER, THEY ARE FULLY INVASIVE.THEY WILL TAKE OVER YOUR ENTIRE LAWN IF NOT CONTROLLED.

The stems seem to be the favorite part for the squirrels and ducks.
