This mixed with augmented reality is moving us one step closer to the matrix in real life. Not saying the tech isn't cool or couldn't be useful but at the end of the day FB is all about private data collecting and propaganda distribution so i never trust their intent on why and how they will use these devices.

SOURCE: TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Facebook says it has created a wristband that translates motor signals from your brain so you can move a digital object just by thinking about it.

How does it work? The wristband, which looks like a clunky iPod on a strap, uses sensors to detect movements you intend to make. It uses electromyography (EMG) to interpret electrical activity from motor nerves as they send information from the brain to the hand. The company says the device, as yet unnamed, would let you navigate augmented-reality menus by just thinking about moving your finger to scroll.

I thought commanders could order anything.”

Yes not very new technology, but I understand these things weren't very good, at least for gaming purposes! I had looked into getting the headband one at some point for that purpose. Maybe useful for a parallelized person to at least surf the web and browse email eh?

Wristband.. well as long as you don't have to point your arm at the screen like a microsoft wii device!
