Re: Idaho : Looking to buy a Doomstead/Off Grid Home..
Just on Realtor.com only there is 1451 single family homes listed right now in Idaho all under $350,000, and most are in good shape.

If you change the listing to any home, such as mobile, land, townhouse, single family and farm there is 5000 under $350,000.

And that is just Realtor.com, many more listed on other realtor sites as well and sale by owner sites..

Its there folks you just need to look.

I checked the winters in that area, not bad compared to the North East U.S. or North Dakota or Iowa..

Yes far north in Idaho it does get worse..

I was born and raised in Iowa during the 70"s you don't know how bad winters can be, I even lived in Navy barracks next to lake Michigan in the winter now that's bad very bad..
[wind and cold so bad we had snow inside the room on window seals everyday, you could never get warm enough]

Winters around Lewiston look easy and warm compared to those..

To be quite honest the market has sky rocketed in the last 9 months, most of the building is outside of boise where the weather is warmer....I am in grangeville, idaho county and everything has gone up with no supplies coming in....you would be hard pressed to find what you were looking for at this elevation, I still have snow in the back yard. Winter are reverting back to being really harsh, short, short growing season.

When people tell where not to move and that's where they live, then it might be where to move.

Too cold up there for me.

There are some places that don't allow off-grid living,so that narrows the choices.

Off grid comes in many forms, my plan is some utilities but remote but yet close to a town

be sure to build it so it looks like no one is there. if shtf you do not want any one looking in your direction.

if they know you are there, they'll show up with enough weapons and equipment to dig you out.

I have your place ready for you. Northern Colorado Rockies @7500 feet. 15.5 forested mountainous terrain w/caves. 3 story log house, guest cabin, barn, Greenhouse, heated all year around grow. 3 independent sources of heat, 3 independent sources of water and 3 independent sources of electricity. Totally self sufficient and self sustaining.

All yours for $800K, I'll carry the balance if ya have a substantial down.

I been at this for 27 years. I'm old and decrepit now and ready for the wild blue yander.

Free state of Idaho ? More like the totalitarian state of Idaho. Show up for jury duty ? Mandatory masks brought to you by the Idaho State Supreme Court. Vaccine passports are required at Gold Fork Hot Springs and Burgdorf Hot Springs. Masks required at BSU basketball. Mandatory vaccines for St Luke's and Alphonsus. Vaccine passports at Boises Treefort music festival. Brad Little will veto any anti vaxx bill like Montana's because he is sponsored by XIXI Peng. 11 primary Republicans on the ballot will guarantee Little gets back in. Idaho is the GOP Mitt Romney SWAMP. Go to Montana for freedom. Idaho is occupied by globalists
