Wife has covid. Struggling with whether or not to use HCQ
I've been pretty prepared since the start of Covid, but two days ago my wife tested positive. She is on about day 5 now. No real fever or major issues aside from a cough that is very slightly productive. I have HCQ/Zinc Sulfate/ZPack, I also have Ivermectin for my "horse." I also have a pulse oximeter. Of course the Dr. says not to without hospitalization, but I'm really torn on what to do. My main concern is avoiding pneumonia, so she is elevated, has a humidifier, is getting up and walking, doing constant deep breaths, taking C, D, Quercetin, Zinc.

Just not sure if I should go the HCQ route alone. Things don't seem to be getting worse and fairly stable/steady. I just don't want to make the wrong call.

Sounds like you are doing everything already. Do not give her anything prescribed. She will be fine. Just cook for her and let her rest if she needs too.

If it is hydroxycloroquin then that is in ordinary tonic water. I drink about a litre a day with no side effects.

Just keep giving her that.

Saying whether she should take it is like saying you are unsure if you should wear clothes when you go shopping at the mall.

These kind of comments KILL ME.

A sore throat goes away in five days or less ON ITS OWN.

You could literally gargle with streptococcus endotoxin for five days and your sore throat will still be gone.

Come back when your sore throat is gone in two hours.

Quercetin is a cousin to HCQ and is over the counter. Take all this stuff with zinc. Ivermection is better that HCQ and Quercetin when there are already symptons.

ivermectin is easier, if there were issues with it thousands of people would have shared them by now.

just squeeze out a wad and eat it, both of you.

I'd wait. If she is in good health, allow her immune sys to do its' job. I beat it with Zinc & vit D.

I'll buy your HCQ too if you don't need it! :-) (Kidding)

I wish you both well. Oh, BTW, since I had it (Dec 2019), I've not had a sniffle, cold, sore throat, cough... NUTHIN'!

Getting it and beating it was the best thing I've ever had happen to me - health-wise!

Seeking medical advice on a site like this isn't very smart.
Claiming to be a "Christian" is not the same as acting like one. We see your hypocrisy, and it is painfully obvious.

The hypocrites go to "hell" also..Calling oneself a Christian, while letting yourself be owned by hate and fear while engaging in false witness, IS hypocrisy.

Your wife has a cold. She came across a semi-literate twat who knows how to play with PCR abstracts. Of course PCR is not and has never been approved as a diagnostic tool.

Believe what you want. But as others have cautioned, do NOT take the crap they try to prescribe.

This comes from my heart, bad vax reaction in '95. Couple minutes late for my commute; that's how strongly I want to caution you about joining the covid cult.

Be well.

Personally with ivermectin I would not hesitate.

Use dose as indicated on the package, by body weight.

This is a very safe medication, used for both human and veterinary treatment for decades.

Worst case scenario it has no effect. Best case it knocks out the Wuhan Flu in jig time. May be worth a second dose 4 days later for good measure.

I'm no doctor but I'm educated and read everything I can on this and personally if we were talking about me or my wife that is what I'd do. Everything else you are doing sounds good and I would also do. Good luck.

Berries are powerful stuff.

Real Blackberry Brandy (Not the fake schnappsy stuff) will totally knock a cough out for a few hours. You don't even have to drink it.

Just huff it.

However, it may be very unwise to stifle a cough like previous poster alluded to.

My throat will get sore if the glands in my neck are swollen due to cold or allergies/hayfever. That is benign.

If your throat hurts so bad you can barely swallow and you or especially your child is running a fever go to the doctor and see if antibiotics are needed. Strep throat can be dangerous. Especially if it produces endotoxin.

Make sure her vitamin D levels are high...vitamin D is extremely key. Zinc will help as well. The Zpac is a steroid which helps to open up the air ways if needed. As long as her oxygen levels remain high, she should be fine...

They have yet to find a full DNA string in the samples from those that have "test" positive for Covid-19, mostly what they found was complete DNA stings of Influenza A, and a few feom Influenza B.

Which means your body is basically fighting the flu

What I am saying, and I worked in Family Practice Clinic for 2 years, is that a standard issue sore throat will be gone in a few days without doing anything at all.

So torturing yourself with raw ginger for five days isn't exactly a miracle nature cure.

That is what I'm saying, facetious or otherwise.

Strep is just the most common bacteria that causes sore throat. Your body will kill it on it's own without antibiotcs almost always. Fever is your body trying to kill it.

Reduce fever and you risk infection spreading.

Antibiotics destroy your ass garden.

Yes, I agree, a couple whole single cloves a day crushed should kick out any infection if mild enough. Allicin, found in crushed garlic is a powerful antibiotic and resistant to the most common bacterial and fungus infections. I still I use it when I can’t get any regular antibiotics. It’s killed bad tooth infections I’ve had. It’s worth a try and it’s all natural.

I concur with the person who said take tonic water, it does have the healing properties.
Also, get and take Echinacea, it boosts your immune system.
When this flu(covid) started (or when I feel under the weather), I did feel like I caught something, I immediately started taking the Echinacea and felt better towards end of next day.

Don't spend time reading all this, go out and get tonic water and Echinacea and start pumping it in her. Godspeed.
