If I understand the situation correctly, Chauvin was holding Floyd down until the ambulance arrived? What else was he supposed to do? Consider how aggressive Floyd had been earlier and how LARGE and powerful a man he is, esp compared to the cops, I think Chauvin did a damn good job. I'd give him a medal. |

The question is, did they have this equipment and were they trained to use it. My guess would be no on both counts. I could be wrong, of course, I'd like to see what others say. It's so easy, btw, to question people in a violent situation like this but frankly, if it was me, I'd just beat the fucker over the head with the nearest blunt object till he quieted right down. And you know what....that's what most of the people on that street would have done to if they had to restrain him. Or they would have shot him. He didn't kill or even injure this guy and I don't see that he did anything wrong per the situation, the perp and his training. |
