This is an awesome thread and I will certainly be back to follow your findings, OP.

I have always loved culture. At one point in time I was researching the life of Pachacuti, the 9th and most powerful of the Incan rulers, who rose to power in South America in 1438. Pachacuti claimed that a man with a beard (unknown to the Inca) wearing a white robe appeared to him on the mountainside and introduced himself as Viraococha: "The Creator of all things."

Inca Pachacuti was the only ruler to abolish sun worship, saying that the sun also was created and obeyed a higher power: the Creator God. He also told about a flood, and other teachings of the Creator that align with Christianity.

Pachacuti wrote this hymn:

To Viracocha, power over all that exists, be it male or female,
Holy, Lord, Creator of newborn light. Why are Thou? Where art thou?
Is it not possible for me to see Thee? In the world above, or in the world below,
Or wheresoever in the world Thy mighty throne is to be found?
In the heavenly ocean or the seas of the earth, where is Thy habitation? O Pachacamac, (Maker of the world)
Creator of man,
Lord, Thy servants desire that their feeble eyes may behold Thee…

The sun, the moon, the day, the night, the summer and the winter are not free:
From Thee they receive their instructions, and Thee they obey. They approach that which has already been ordained…

Where and upon whom hast Thou bestowed Thy shining scepter?
With a joyful mouth, with a joyful tongue, day and night shalt Thou call. Fasting, Thou shalt sing with the voice of the nightingale.
And perhaps in our joy, in our good fortune, from whatever corner of the world, the Creator of man, the Lord almighty, shall hear.
Thee…
Creator of the world on high and of the world below, Creator of the mighty ocean, Vanquisher of all things, where art Thou? Speak,
Come, Truth from on high, Truth from the deep, Molder of the world, Power over all that exists, sole Creator of man, ten times will I worship Thee with my feeble eyes.
What splendor!
Before Thee will I prostrate myself. Hear me, O Lord! Give ear unto me O Lord!

I post this story to say I believe that Jesus did perhaps appear to all who were devout and searching - all over the world.
