I live in a relatively small town (30-40,000 people) and a year back or so our Internet service went dark. Come to find out, a main cable had been cut. Problem is, said cable was buried 10 feet deep and required a backhoe to dig it up. It wasn't anywhere near development or new construction.. Someone did it intentionally Maximus Tardicus |

The only way is to take down the whole electrical grid and stop all electricity to stop generating to take them all down. All servers are not connected to one switch. Living has taught me one thing; nothing is certain...except salvation through Jesus Christ! |

My people- infants are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, your guides mislead you and they have swallowed up the course of your paths. Quoting: norakat147 They discuss this plan in Event 201 (that took place in October 2019) - Listen starts at 8 minutes 15 seconds: After SHTF and people start dropping like flies, nobody will know what’s going on or be able to exchange information. Time to go back to Ham radios? |

User ID: 80214681 United States 04/06/2021 08:42 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Sysadmin here: It is completely possible to shut down the internet. Disable the root DNS servers and nothing resolves to the correct IP address. There are 13 redundant root dns servers worldwide. This will never happen though for the whole internet but is does allow the ones in control of the root server too heavily censor. It will be selective shutdowns of sites deemed false or misleading by disabling your dns route at the top level. You can still get to a web server if its domain is blocked by typing the IP address for the server. In most cases though modern web browsers won't allow using ssl without a fully qualified domain so using the ip address means you will have to jump through hoops to make it work (clicking yes I understand the certificate is invalid etc..) and use unencrypted port 80 http instead of 443 https. This means anyone with access to your network to view all of your traffic unencrypted. And this is assuming you have physical access to your server or trust your hosting provider to not block you. Oh and your ISP can also kill your static IP at any time, so yeah...there is that too. glps static IP address is 104.20.51.56 but they have good security and don't allow you to get to by going to [link to 104.20.51.56] |

Time to go back to Ham radios? Not a Ham junkie, but I know like in Cali...they took down the “repeaters” I think they are called, so you can t really rely the messages anymore, simply talk to people nearby. If Cali is doing it, I’m sure others are planning something similar. Anyone with some experience know what the state of Ham radio is these days? Always remember these words: Work hard, study well, and eat and sleep plenty! That is the Turtle Hermit way! We must master the art of peace in addition to the art of war! |

To know where your heart is, look where your mind goes when it wanders. A rock in bad hands killed Abel. A rock in good hands killed Goliath. It isn't about the rock. A true warrior fights not because he hates the one in front of him, but because he loves those behind him. INTP-A |
