They've been prepping us for this by stating that Russian subs ate active in an area where the trans Atlantic fiber optic cables are run.
They will take internet down and freeze banking claiming that until the cable is repaired there is nothing they can do.
They will then go on to say that Russia has scattered mines all around the cable and it is just to dangerous to repair.

The ocean floor being at least three miles deep.". Anymore counter arguments will simply devolve into Disney-esque excuses and/or nonsense. Joe Biden's White House PR woman may very well call upon Marvel and/or DC Comics for better answers live on TV. Sounds about right, when I read in 3 or 4 different places how the Russian subs were going to cut the cable I knew it was a set up for something and ops thought process here seems to be a natural fit
